Our Paediatric First Aid Trainer is very experienced and has delivered this course in many local authorities across the country. Our trainer is passionate about ensuring training is relevant and suitable for the Childcare and Playwork sectors.

12 hrs Paediatric First Aid Course – £98
This 12 hours blended learning Paediatric First Aid course (6 hr practical + E-learning test) is suitable for childcarers registering on both parts of the childcare register. A certificate will be issued on completion on the course, which is valid for 3 years; as well as a First Aid booklet. The course takes place on Sunday’s on a monthly basis from 10am to 4pm + E-learning assessment. A sufficient command of the English language is needed to successfully pass this course.
OCN Common Core Skills & Knowledge Level 3 – £120
In order to register on the Ofsted Voluntary Childcare Register childcarers are required to complete the Common Core Skills & Knowledge Training.
Candidates can choose to receive the OCN (Level 3) enabling them to receive a childcare qualification awarded through Open College Network.
Courses take place on the weekend in Central London (Distance learning option is available).
Cost: £120 or £160 for the OCN London accreditation
OCN Nanny Cooking Course – £99
Introduction to food and nutrition for children and young people – Level 3
This accredited cooking course is suitable for nannies, domestic workers, housekeepers and au pairs wishing to become more confident and gain skills in preparing healthy food for babies, toddlers and children. Courses have been designed by a qualified nutritionist with extensive experience working with children and families privately, as well as with local authorities and charities throughout the UK.
Cost: £99 or £140 for the OCN London Qualification – level 3.
CACHE Understand How To Set Up a Home-Based Childcare Service (CYPOP5)
Unit 1 of the Diploma in Home-based Childcare, Introduction to (Home-based) Childcare Practice (ICP), is the recommended introductory course for new and prospective childminders. This course is also suitable for un-qualified Nannies (and other home-based childcarers) wishing to register with Ofsted.

CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
The CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. Upon achievement of this qualification it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as Early Years Educators

Length of Course: At least 18 – 24 months to complete the course, although the course can be completed in a shorter period of time.
Maternity Courses
OCN Postnatal Maternity Nurse Award (MNT) – Level 3 & 4
This respected qualification provides those wanting to become Maternity Nurses or those already working with babies an opportunity to further their skills. The Postnatal Maternity Care Award provides a comprehensive overview of the Maternity Nurses role through addressing all aspects of mother and newborn baby care, as well as the practical support and guidance required within the family home environment.
Assessment Levels and credits:
The level given on the certificate for each unit you have achieved shows the stage you have reached in your learning. A Level 3 qualification is A Level standard and a Level 4 qualification is (the first year) degree standard.
The Level 3 course is awarded with 3 credits and the Level 4 course is awarded with 4 credits, the credits relate to the estimated time it takes to achieve a unit (1 credit = 10 national hours of learning).
Assessment process:
Candidates are emailed a study pack, after the course and are given 5 weeks to complete the assessment questions, before sending the completed answers back to us by email. We are able to provide assistance with course work by email and phone.
For candidates opting to complete the Level 4, they will also be required to complete a practical assessment supporting a mother with breastfeeding.
Cost: £475 level 3 award or £640 for level 4 award.
NEW! OCN Maternity Nurse Training – Level 5
This innovative and unique course incorporates the latest evidence based research, parent interviews, reflective learning, group discussion and interactive teaching styles to help you make the most of the course content. The course supports baby care specialists to reflect on complex and challenging situations, with a particular focus on caring for multiples and babies with additional needs.
Our multi-disciplinary team of childcare experts (including a UK leading Obstetrician, Cranial Osteopath, Lactation Consultant, Sleep Specialist, Postnatal Counsellor) will provide the latest information on a diverse range of topics related to caring for very young babies, from birth trauma to feeding difficulties. This course is ideal for maternity assistants, maternity nurses, doulas and midwives looking to expand their knowledge, communication and skills with families.

Module 2 – Integrated maternal and infant birth experience
Module 3 – Breastfeeding and complex feeding problems

Who should attend:
Candidates with at least 5+ years baby experience before attending the course (we welcome learners from all baby care backgrounds)
You must have completed a level 3 and 4 Maternity Nurse qualification or a qualification in a similar field .
OCN Breastfeeding Skills & Infant Nutrition – Level 3
This Advanced level Breastfeeding Skills & Infant Nutrition course is designed for Nannies, Maternity Nurses and Health Professionals who wish to develop their knowledge of breastfeeding and gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to support a mother to effectively breastfeed.
Cost: £185 – with assessment fees included.
OCN Level 3 Care of Multiples & Premature Babies
This advanced course is delivered by a UK leading Paediatric Osteopath and experienced Maternity Nurse & Baby care consultant. The course is ideal for maternity nurses, nannies and health professionals who are currently caring for multiple and preterm babies.
Cost: £185
OCN Level 3 & 4 Sleep Training
This course is for child carers looking to specialise or gain additional knowledge in sleep training as part of their career or for those individuals working with a baby or child with a sleep problem. This course is accredited at level 3 through OCN.

Level 3 & 4 Postnatal Depression & Birth Trauma
This Postnatal Depression (PND) training courses is suitable for childcare professionals working with post-natal mothers. This advanced level course teaches candidates more about post-natal depression, including providing support and using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Courses are facilitated by a highly experienced Mental Health Nurse and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with experience working within forensic psychiatry, early intervention in psychosis and also within a mother and baby unit.
